| Letter from the Editor Hi, I'd like to tell you about a fun experience I had this week. Yesterday, I was lucky enough to attend ReCon 2014. What's ReCon, you ask? ReCon is TechSmith's yearly, internal conference. The goal is to share knowledge, learn new things, and spend time with coworkers from every department. Presentations were given by TechSmith employees and covered a variety of topics. For example, some of the sessions I attended were called: Make It Work Pretty, #canyouhearmenow, and Bug Report: The Human Brain. I learned a little about neuroscience, discovered new font websites, and got some great mobile video tips. I truly appreciate working at a company that values learning and growing. And did I mention they spoiled us with the most delicious food throughout the day? I'm already looking forward to next year. Before you dive into this month's newsletter, I want to make sure I share one more cool thing with you. If you or the Mac user in your life are moving to OS X Yosemite, make sure to check out TechSmith AppShow (now in open beta). It’s a brand new product for mobile screencasting and a whole, new approach to creating content. And, as always, we’d love to hear what you think! To easily get rid of an unwanted section of an image in Snagit, use the Cut Out option. This option deletes a vertical or horizontal section of an image and joins the two pieces together (like it was never there to begin with... poof, magic). Use this option to cut out the middle of a long scrolling page or remove extra space in a window or dialog. Read the full tutorial to learn more ways to remove unwanted sections from your captures.
