Karzai aide corruption case dropped KABUL, Afghanistan (UPI) -- The Afghanistan government has dropped its corruption case against an aide to President Hamid Karzai, the official whose office ran the case said. Mohammed Zia Salehi was arrested in July by U.S.-supported corruption investigators, creating an international furor because Karzai lobbied publicly for Salehi's release and revelations that the aide was on the CIA payroll.
