Library's celebrating Texas' dodransbicentennial (175th anniversary -- who knew) with Lone Star beers (Rahr to Shiner), wines (Llano, Becker...), and cocktails, from the Texas Rattlesnake (Balcones Baby Blue whiskey, Garrison Bros. bourbon, brandy), to the Blue Bonnet (Dripping Springs vodka, Railean white rum, gin), to the Texas Iced Tea (with Pepe Zevada's tequila), and even the jalapeno'd Lone Star Martini, of which Bill Pullman drank 20 upon learning his spaceballs had been cast in a rom-com opposite Ellen DeGeneres.

Soft-open on Lower G-ville, Company's healthy comfort food runs from breakfasts like cage-free omelettes w/ various farm-fresh cheeses & meat options like Thunderheart Ranch Buffalo; to dinners including gluten-free chicken & waffles stuffed with bacon & jalapeno, and a cauliflower-mash-abetted grass-fed sirloin in red-wine shallot sauce, Shalit sauce being far too difficult to get out of your comically oversized moustache.

Offering full-service dinner, a line-'em-up lunch, an I can't believe they have this at a burger place wine selection, plus live music daily, Tim Love's hometown return features reclaimed south Texas barnwood-lined walls, 4ft hi-top tables, garage doors that open up the A/C'd and heated but otherwise outdoorsy eating area, a tree-planted back patio, a stage large enough for a six-piece band, and a private dining area that seats The Last Supper + 1 (14). Curiously, there are also ping-pong tables out front, presumably so you can bang bang, by the door, baby.

Buy: Hocus Focus
From a map-obsessed mind near the Illinois-Wisconsin border, Hocus covers all manner of everyday objects in maps, with DFW-ness including a foot-tall desk lamp with a map for shade. You can even choose your own map to front a "large suitcase style treasure box", though generally when box is that big it's no treasure.
