Expanding on their popular upstairs dining den, the DD's curved honeycomb-cushioned banquettes and matching hexagonal wall & ceiling panels call to mind a beehive for ballers, where bites of Asian beef skewers and BBQ spareribs will fortify against classically inspired 'tails including the Pretty Boy Floyd (Citron, mint, lemon, Angostura), and the Hendrick's/ St-Germain/ grapefruit & lime juices/ muddled cukes Tin Lizzy, not to be confused with a Thin Lizzy, as that's just Whiskey in the Jar.

An understated bar & grill with a leviathan of a banquette curving along its walls and high tops gazing into the street through floor-to-ceiling windows, West's eclectic pub fare starts with nibbles of short rib spring rolls, lobster tacos, and chipotle mussels, while heartier plates come replete with suggested hooch pairings, from black truffle gnocchi with Blue Point Toasted Lager, to soy-chili glazed salmon with Lagunitas A Little Sumpin' Sumpin', which you're sure to give up yourself after downing a few, you gigolo.

Swooping into the former Brooklyn Kitchen spot, this expanded wine shop's keeping their core focus on "everyday wines" (with a third of their bottles sub-$15), but they're also offering small-batch artisanal spirits, classes/free tastings put together in conjunction with Brooklyn Kitchen Labs, and, come summer, a large selection of "chillable reds", so Foxx is definitely out.
