I received an email from this perdon today, but the email address was nicholerstennes@gmail.com. Other than the email and site address, the message was exactly the same. After seeing your post, I've decided I will not respond.
Same here. Interestingly enough, this person exists. I responded from a throwaway address with a simple "yes". I strongly believe this is someone who has been hired to do some "social media outreach" or something like that and is searching the web for higher SEO pages on tipping and the U.S. tipping culture.
I got mine from nicholerstennes@gmail.com (Notice slight difference in her name there.) and replied asking how her letter related to "Interactive Graphic on Tipping".
Me too - I got asked by "Nicole Stennes." Yesterday somebody (a Russian) stole a whole bunch of passwords (million-plus) off Linked-in, and Twitter passwords were hash-tagged among them - maybe it's a check-up? Half of Facebook is just Spammers, so what's "real" has more value? Time to change old passwords...
I got one too. I'm an author who has nothing to do with the hospitality industry. Replied "yes," ignored subsequent email that's irrelevant to my business. Today she emailed me again following up to ask if I'd shared the graphic and what my thoughts were on it. Why?! Someone else sent me another one for an interactive graphic about trash (???), but that went to my spam file. Very perplexing. I can't imagine why on earth she'd think I care about this subject.
