Before Donald takes the oath...

Let's get to work.
DemocratsJoin us.
Trump takes the Oath of Office today -- pitch in $10 or more to help Democrats fight back against his administration and Republicans in Congress.

Lewis, I wish I could tell you exactly what to expect when Donald Trump becomes president today.

But Donald says one thing and does another. Sometimes it doesn't even take a whole day before a policy position he's announced gets reversed.

There's no way to predict what he'll tweet in the middle of the night -- or who he'll attack.

He has chosen to fill his Cabinet with people so outrageously unqualified that some don't even know what the agency they've been picked to run does.

His transition team has promised that he'll start signing executive orders as soon as he gets to the White House this afternoon, but they won't say what those orders will do. And Trump himself has suggested that he might not get to work until Monday.

So we have to be ready for anything. That's not an exaggeration, Lewis -- we can't be sure what the real-world impact of Donald's dangerous unpredictability will be.

I know that Democrats have what it takes to fight back, no matter what comes our way. It's been a while, but I still remember what had to be done the last time there was a Republican president and Congress.

But it's going to take a greater commitment to our country's guiding principles and our party's values -- from all of us. So today, before Donald Trump takes the oath, I'm asking you to chip in $10 or whatever you can and stand with us.

Thank you for everything you do to support this party, for being a part of this movement. As we prepare for what's to come, I hope you take a minute to remember all the good we've done in the past eight years under President Obama. And I hope that gets you fired up to keep fighting -- I know I am.
