A few weeks ago we had one of the most major successful attacks on the U.S. digital infrastructure ever successfully attempted. It was the use of our IoT devices to effectively take down many of the country's DNS servers. These servers are critical to Web operation and, without them, the Internet largely doesn't work.

We've seen technology changing different parts of our lives over the years. Technology is evolving so rapidly these days, which is why it is not surprising to find new inventions and tech being used in different industries and fields. In fact, we've had some very interesting developments in 2016 alone.
Artificial intelligence, or AI, is the hot and trending topic everyone's been talking about these days. Industries like healthcare, manufacturing, transportation and customer service are already seeing the benefits of embracing this type of technology and what it can do to make better, more efficient processes. By 2020, 85 percent of customer interactions will be managed without a human.
Safety and lack of federal regulations seem to have a monopoly on the hampering growth of self-driving cars. The safety of self-driving vehicles has remained a controversial subject since some semi-autonomous vehicles have already been involved in road crashes.
Granted, it is hard to top the result of the U.S. Presidential Election where we ended up with the first true political outsider as a President in my lifetime. Bu in the tech segment we had a number of changes that alone would have stood out as massive, but collectively are nearly beyond imagination. As we enjoy our eggnog and try to hide from our intoxicated relatives this week, let's look back on the big changes of 2016.
