Dig Deep for 3 Days in May: New Logo Programs for Windows As part of the development effort for the next generation of Windows, Microsoft is introducing new programs designed to help you build and sell compelling Windows-based products. Many WinHEC sessions discuss implementation details and guidelines for the new Windows Logo Program for client and server systems and for devices. Here are some examples:

· Succeeding With the Windows Vista Logo Program for Hardware Learn best practices for managing the entire Windows quality process so that you can deliver your products with the Windows Vista logo. This talk also covers how to obtain digital signatures <http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=4837046>for your 64-bit drivers, an important new security feature in Windows Vista.

· Using the WDK for Windows Logo and Signature Testing The Windows Driver Kit (WDK) <http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=4838482>includes system- and device-specific tests and static analysis tools for the logo testing process. Learn how the WDK Driver Test Manager (DTM) will be used for logo testing and submission. The extensibility and tight integration of the DTM with the Winqual Web site will help streamline the logo process.

· Windows Vista Hardware Logo: The Launch Window Opportunity Find out about the business opportunities associated with the hardware logo, with an overview of the requirements <http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=4838483>. This session is for senior business and marketing professionals who want to capitalize on the opportunity.

Session Spotlight: Windows Virtualization Hear more about Microsoft solutions for Virtualization in Windows. Discover more about the most cost-effective server virtualization technology engineered for the Windows Server System platform.

· Hypervisor, Virtualization Stack, and Device Virtualization Architectures. The powerful new Windows virtualization infrastructure will be a core capability in Windows Server Longhorn and in subsequent client releases. This session provides an architectural overview of the three pillars of Windows virtualization: the hypervisor, the virtualization stack, and device virtualization. Other Windows virtualization sessions build on the groundwork that will be laid during this session.

· Inside Microsoft's Network and Storage VSP/VSC. Independent software vendors (ISVs) and independent hardware vendors (IHVs) will get an in-depth understanding of the architecture that is used in Microsoft's network and storage virtual device drivers and a familiarity with the built-in capabilities of these drivers. IHVs can use the information to build virtual service provider/virtual service client (VSP/VSC) pairs.

· PCIe Address Translation Services and I/O Virtualization. Learn about some of the evolutions from the PCI I/O Virtualization working group in two key areas of PCIe Address Translation Service (ATS) and protocols to support multiple operating system instances. The PCIe ATS specification defines a new protocol to enable I/O endpoints to efficiently work with chipsets that implement address translation and protection table technology.
