Library of Congress to preserve 'Exorcist'

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- "All the President's Men" and "The Exorcist" are among the U.S. movies to be preserved in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress.

Librarian of Congress James H. Billington announced the list of 25 motion pictures -- Hollywood classics, documentaries and innovative shorts reflecting genres from every era of American film-making -- being added to the registry Tuesday.

Witherspoon and Toth set to wed

LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon is engaged to Hollywood agent Jim Toth, her boyfriend of nearly a year, People.com said Tuesday.

Witherspoon has two children -- 11-year-old Ava and 7-year-old Deacon -- with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

"They have vacationed together with Reese's kids and everyone (got) along great," a source told People.com.

No details regarding the engagement or whether a wedding date has been set were reported. <...

Rihanna and Matt Kemp break up

LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- Barbados-born pop star Rihanna and professional baseball player Matt Kemp, her beau of about a year, have broken up, a source told UsMagazine.com.

"It happened over the last few weeks," the insider said Tuesday. "She basically was just over it."

The source also said Kemp had a hard time keeping up with the busy recording artist's "crazy travel schedule."

UsMagazine.com said the singer's representative could not be reached for comment.

Hemsworth and Pataky marry

LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has married his longtime girlfriend, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, Hemsworth's publicist confirmed Tuesday.

Hemsworth is to play the superhero Thor in the upcoming, big-screen comic-book adaptions "The Avengers" and "Thor." He previously appeared in the new version of "Star Trek."

Pataky's film credits include "Give 'Em Hell, Malone" and "Snakes on a Plane."
