Art from Any Audio
The promise of experiencing sound through non-aural senses has long tantalized mankind's greatest artists, unless Feel The Noize was somebody's nickname, in which case...gross! Turning tunes (& more) into visual art: VoicePrint.
Straight outta Toronto, VP's a custom art operation rendering sound clips into colorful wall art, a "reminder to us and a display to others of what we deeply value", so apparently money really does talk. Capable of handling anything from self-recorded sounds to fave songs/movie lines, customers can upload a variety of up-to-2MB files (from mp3s, to various video formats, to...gifs?) for conversion, and should you lack the proper equipment they'll even loan you a digital recorder, because while there's no "I" in "fart", there is an "art". Once you choose a two-tone color combo (from 30 presets) and a canvas size (up to 36" x 48"), they'll run your audio through special software to render it visually, kicking out an over-sized, glowing representation of your sound's unique, spiky-lined sonic frequency, so you can finally say your walls look so awesome it hertz.
Given the intensely personal nature of such an endeavor, givers can pick up a gift certificate for that special someone, or even just for a noisy neighbor -- how better to convert their's into a Quiet Riot?
Quit wishing your walls could talk and do something about it at VoicePrintsArt.com
