Singer-songwriter Gerry Rafferty dies LONDON (UPI) -- Scottish singer-songwriter Gerry Rafferty died Tuesday at his Dorset, England, home following a long illness, his family said. He was 63. The Guardian said Rafferty's daughter, Martha, was by his side when he died. Rafferty is best known for his 1970s hits "Stuck in the Middle with You," with Stealers Wheel, and his solo releases "Baker Street" and "Get it Right Next Time." Post a Comment | Share | Print Hearing in Jackson death trial begins LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- A preliminary hearing for Dr. Conrad Murray's involuntary manslaughter case in the death of Michael Jackson has begun in a Los Angeles court. Murray is accused of causing Jackson's death by improperly administering sedatives and anesthesia in an effort to help the pop icon sleep at his home.
