January Jones is pregnant

LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- U.S. actress January Jones is pregnant with her first child, her publicist said Thursday.

Jones, 33, is best known for her work in TV's "Mad Men." Her film credits include "Love Actually," "Pirate Radio" and the upcoming "X-Men: First Class."

"January Jones is happy to announce that she is expecting her first child this fall," her representative told People.com.

"She's really looking forward to this new chapter in her life as a single mom," ...

Lorre reworking 'Two and a Half Men'

LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre is reworking the sitcom without former star Charlie Sheen, The Hollywood Reporter said Thursday.

Sheen was fired last month because of his substance abuse and erratic behavior mid-way through the series' eighth season. He is suing the show's producers for breach of contract.

Madame Tussauds to celebrate royal wedding

HOLLYWOOD (UPI) -- Madame Tussauds Hollywood says it will show news footage of the British royal wedding on its Jumbotron.

Prince William, son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, is to marry Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey in London Friday morning.

"Outside of London, this could be one of the major gathering spots in America for stateside consumption of the wedding," Madame Tussauds General Manager Colin Thomas said in a statement Wednesday.

Rocker Poly Styrene dead at 53

LONDON (UPI) -- Marianne Elliot-Said, the British punk rocker known as Poly Styrene, has died of spine and breast cancer, her representatives said. She was 53.

The former singer with the X-Ray Spex released her third solo album, "Generation Indigo," last month.

"We can confirm that the beautiful Poly Styrene, who has been a true fighter, won her battle on Monday evening to go to higher places," the BBC quoted a statement posted on her Twitter page as saying.
