Monday Afternoon Silver and Gold Wrap Up for 2/27/12.....Peter R....Southern Trust Metals, Inc.

Good afternoon Andrew,

Markets recovered a good portion of the morning IMF associated losses in the wake of Germany's Parliament approving its share of the Greek bail out, and on the coat tails of today's big drop in Italian and Spanish borrowing costs....The IMF concerns quickly fell to the back burner and a short term calm returned to the markets....The Euro-zone stocks ended with marginal losses of .3-.4%....The Euro currency remained static at $1.3402 off 58/100ths, close to the opening levels....Meanwhile the metals made a partial recovery with Silver ending the session up 11 cents at $35.51...Gold closed $6.00 lower at $1773.00....Palladium eased $5.00 to $708.00.....Platinum finished $7.00 lower at $1710.00....Trading was light.....Crude oil continues to trade near the morning levels at $108.74 off $1.03 per barrel.....Over in the U.S. stock market the Dow recovered all of the morning losses and sits at 13,005 up 22 points....The equities got a little help from a better than expected Pending Home Sales report which clocked in with a gain of 2%....Optimistic comments from  investment guru Warren Buffett also helped to lift today's U.S. market sentiment.....That's about it.....I'll be back in the morning with the latest.....Have a good afternoon......
