Ten years ago the question would have been easy to answer; but not necessarily so today. Thanks to the Internet and new mobile solutions, a workforce is emerging with the freedom to take its work away from the office without sacrificing communication or expanding the company's budget. With the ability to send/receive email anywhere or conference via a smartphone, laptop or iPad, and with free/small charge Wi-Fi access points everywhere, employees no longer need to go into the office.

Unified Communications (UC) Headsets are now available in more sizes than were originally offered to help meet the demand for converged platforms. Plantronics is now offering the smallest UC Headsets to date; functional headsets that are not much bigger than an earbud.

Unified Communications (UC) is the new trend in business that allows you to integrate all forms of communications onto one platform. If you are sending a voicemail message to a client and they are utilizing UC, they will be able to choose how to receive that message (voicemail, email, etc.). When using UC, a headset is also a very important piece of the equation.

UC headset maker Bose announced the launch of its Bose Bluetooth headset Series 2 that features the latest technologies from Bose. The new headsets are marked by their clear and natural voice quality and the ability to suppress surrounding noise levels that change suddenly.

According to a Global Industry Analysts forecast, the market for softphones is opportune to grow to $217.2 million in value by 2017, due to the tremendous increase in enterprise mobility and workforce virtualization.

VXi Corporation, a manufacturer of Bluetooth headsets for professional truck drives, announced it is showcasing its latest products at the 2012 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, KY, March 22 -- 24.

The original Bluetooth headphones that were released in 2009 had a host of problems. Uncomfortable to wear, the headsets also synced poorly with audio devices, demonstrated inconsistent audio quality and sucked large amounts of power. Now, a new generation of Bluetooth headphones has appeared on the market. Thankfully, the products are now living up to their potential.
