VoLTE and RCS - Revolutionizing Enterprise
Unified Communications
Monday April 23, 2012 11:00am ET/ 8:00am PT

For many years we have been discussing mobile broadband and always-on services and applications. But with the LTE era just around the corner, this is becoming a reality. LTE (Long Term Evolution) deployment is booming, and it is just natural that Unified Communications will not be left out of the revolution.

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and RCS (Rich Communication Suite) are brining true standard and interoperable advanced communication capabilities, and operators are seizing the opportunity to leverage these technologies to bring new levels of services to the hosted unified communication market. Enterprises, seeking UC solutions that enable reliable, roam-able, always-on, anywhere, BYOD (Bring-Your-Own-Device) rich communication capabilities, turn to IMS/VoLTE RCS enabled UC solutions to meet the challenge.

For the first time this is available on new devices in different shapes and forms such as mobile smartphones, tablets and netbooks. VoLTE/IMS RCS is the technology behind the promise of a new compelling user experience required for advanced UC mobile services to become a success.

The webinar will discuss the future of Enterprise UC Voice, Video, Rich Presence, Messaging, Content Sharing, and Conferencing services in the era of all IP mobile networks, including network architecture issues and interconnectivity with Legacy UC solutions, and current 2G and 3G access networks.

Deployment challenges and migration solutions will be covered in the webinar, as well as VoLTE and RCS network elements with the underlying standard IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network infrastructure and endpoint devices. Speakers will discuss the technologies required, from the basic building blocks of IMS protocol components to the intricate details of RCS application development including mobile UC applications that will enable standard visual communications over LTE and wireless networks. VoLTE and RCS standardization and interoperability efforts to overcome growing complexities will be discussed, as well as, VoLTE testing methodologies including end user experience measurement of Voice and Video.

By attending this webinar, you will learn:
  • LTE, VoLTE, RCS and IMS market and technology trends
