It really creeped me out when I first heard about it, but it's here. Tiny snake robots slithering through your body, helping a surgeon find diseases and operate on you, according to the AP's Kevin Begos.
Catholic Health East, a multi-institutional Catholic health system, announced the purchase of NetSafe business continuance and downtime protection software from Interbit Data for 15 of its hospitals. The NetSafe software has been in place in Catholic Health East's Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa., since 2007, providing them with seamless patient care during downtime. This success resulted in Catholic Health East brining NetSafe to hospitals across the East Coast.
Today, Health Robotics announced it will now market its i.v.STATION ONCO, i.v.SOFT, and i.v.STATION products with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia-based Hospital Automation Technology (HAT) to pharmacists and hospitals within Saudi Arabia.
Consumerism in the healthcare industry is an inescapable growing trend. Patients are increasingly taking an active role in their care experience and are evermore empowered to choose their own care alternatives.
