Snack On This Stock

by Rob Goldman

One of the primary considerations when investing in early stage companies, and particularly penny stocks, is how one rates management.  In fact, an argument can be made that above all, an investment in a specific company is really a bet on management.  Many CEOs in this space are serial entrepreneurs, which usually means they've had a mixed bag of successes and failures.  Hopefully, the successes outweigh the failures and maybe there's a big hit somewhere in the mix.

I am sure the founders of Five Star Quality Care, Inc. (NYSE: FVE - $3.41) had that in mind when they started the company in 2000.
