Collections Cafe
Seattle Center adds some color

305 Harrison St; Seattle Center; 206.753.4940

Dale Chihuly's new Garden and Glass exhibition at Seattle Center is a veritable feast for your eyes, but since everything in the garden's made of glass and, ugh, vegetables, you're out of luck if you're looking for an actual feast. Unless, that is, you hit his Collections Cafe next door! CC's serving up a menu of locally sourced eats culled from the glass-maker's travels (developed w/ help from CRUSH's Jason Wilson) in a whimsically decorated space that, because it's inspired by his houseboat, is the perfect place to house some hopefully-not-vegetables. Scroll down to see where you'll be exhibiting your own corpulence:

If you don't like spruce plank walls decked with 36 backlit Chihuly drawings, towering ceilings hung with 82 repurposed accordions, and sloads of tchotchkes like vintage radios, tin toys, etc., you're really gonna hate this place.

Or maybe you won't, once you try small plates like chocolate stout Cross Cut Beef Short Ribs, or the Pepper Crusted Ahi Tuna Sliders that come either Sabrina Lloyd (small) or John Rhys-Davies (not at all small).

And if starters aren't your style you probably never had that Charlotte Hornets one, opt for larger plates of Sun-dried Tomato & Goat Cheese Ravioli, and Char-grilled Double R Ranch NY Strip Steaks whose size makes them a veritable feast for your mouth, even if they do come with, ugh, vegetables.

Check out the full range of Chihuly-approved eats, right here
