hi Guitarist,
Here's a wild theory:
You practice guitar, you'll get better.
But what should you practice?
That depends on what you want to accomplish
on the guitar and where you're currently
at with your musical development.
In the long run, there's no "wrong way" to practice.
All roads lead to the top of the mountain.
In other words, if you practice long enough, hard enough,
you'll eventually accomplish your goals.
That being said, there's more efficient ways and less
efficient ways to develop your kills.
For example, it probably helps to learn some scales and
patterns on the fretboard so you're not flying blind.
That's efficient!
On the other extreme, trying to learn 100 different scales
is probably a very inefficient use of your time because
it will take forever and you can't properly use, let alone
master any one of them unless you spend some time on it.
As with so many things, the answer is balance.
Finding the most efficient and direct route to your goals
gets easier when you let someone help you who's been
there before.
I've been down the road of learning how to play guitar
and that's why I want to share what I've learned in my DVDs.
In Killer Lead Guitar Made Simple, I teach just that -
how to play killer lead guitar in the simplest way possible.
Same with learning to play songs and rhythms - I lay out
the fastest easiest way to play your favorite songs.
