Scratching the surface

We'll be both brief and blunt
freepress.net

Jason,

You're probably flooded with fundraising requests right now, so we'll be both brief and blunt.

In 2017 we'll face the most dangerous threats to our rights to connect and communicate we've ever seen. The Trump presidency threatens to roll back decades of social justice progress. It poses grave threats to our civil rights and liberties.

We need Net Neutrality to fight back — and Trump's team knows it. That's why the incoming administration and Congress want to destroy the open internet.

We need a free press to fight back — and Trump's team knows that too. That's why Trump keeps attacking journalists and undermining their right to report the truth.

We're just scratching the surface here but we promised we'd be brief.

Free Press has been fighting back every day since the election but we need your support to keep our momentum going.

We've got 2 days and $11,700 to go to meet our $100K goal. Donate $6, $12, $18 —whatever you can give — to help us get there.

Thanks for standing with us—

Candace, Carrie, Dutch and the rest of the Free Press team

P.S. Help us start the new year strong: Chip in whatever you can today to ensure we have what it takes to fight back. Thanks!
