Click here     In the Muslim community In a major setback for the Trump administration, a federal appeals court on Thursday declined Trump's urgent request to restore the Muslim ban restricting refugees and travel by immigrants from a number of Muslim-majority countries. They were supposed to get married in Virginia, then Trump signed the Muslim ban. Even though she had a fiancé visa, Duaa Abdelrahim wasn't allowed to enter the U.S. to marry her American fiancé because she has a Sudanese passport. Her fiancé visa expired just as the Muslim ban was halted by a federal court. Now, she's stuck in Sudan, a country she's never lived in, uncertain about her future. "I hated Muslims." That's what a 61-year-old man in Nebraska admitted in interviews with The Washington Post and KETV. But that changed when Muslim refugee families moved into his apartment building. "They took the hatred out of me," he said. Anti-Muslim hate in the U.S. is driven largely by the fact that most Americans don't know a Muslim personally.   Acts of Hate A man was charged with racially aggravated assault after he allegedly kicked a pregnant Muslim woman in the stomach causing her to lose the twin babies. A Libya-born Muslim man in Los Angeles only takes in foster children who are going to die. This moving piece in The Los Angeles Times describes how Mohamed Bzeek has buried 10 children. Some have died in his arms. But he still accepts more children, because almost no one else will. "The key is, you have to love them like your own," he said.
