Dear Friends, On Wednesday I stopped in Minkler, one of California’s historical small towns, situated east of Fresno on State Route 180. Established in the early 1890s by Charles Ozro Minkler, a pioneer rancher from Iowa, the town remains a snapshot of pre-modern California. While on my way, I visited the Minkler Cash Store, which celebrated its 100th birthday earlier this year. A new expressway is currently being constructed to help ease traffic in the area, as well. Here are some photos I took on my trip: | The Minkler Cash Store. | | Minkler’s original railroad stop. | Separately, the Central California Blood Center remains in critical need of blood for local patients due to Coronavirus-related shortages. If you are healthy and interested in donating blood, please click here to make an appointment today. You can watch my PSA about donating blood to the Central California Blood Center by clicking here.
