Dear Friends, Yesterday, Fresno County moved into the “red” tier of Governor Newsom’s four-tiered reopening system due to the county’s declining Coronavirus positivity rate and case rate. Fresno County can now loosen the following restrictions: - Restaurants, places of worship, movie theaters, museums, and zoos can reopen for in-person operations up to 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer.
- Gyms and fitness centers can reopen at 10% capacity.
- Retail businesses can increase max capacity from 25% to 50%.
- Schools may begin reopening for in-person learning in two weeks.
After months of closures, I am hopeful Fresno County will be able to continue reopening in a safe and expeditious manner. Separately, the Central California Blood Center remains in critical need of blood for local patients due to Coronavirus-related shortages. If you are healthy and interested in donating blood, please click here to make an appointment today. You can watch my PSA about donating blood to the Central California Blood Center by clicking here.
