Cut the tomatoes in half crosswise. Gently squeeze out as much of the juicy, seedy pulp as you can. Chop tomatoes finely and place in a bowl. Add onion, cloves, peppers, cilantro, lime juice and salt. Let the salsa sit, at room temperature, for at least 30 minutes before serving with tortilla chips.
