2020 proved how strong you are. In 2021, let's prove how strong *we* are.

As salaamu alaykum, Indiana—

If you're reading this:

Congratulations. 2020 is almost over.

This year proved how resilient you are.

In 2021, let's prove how strong we are.

That's why I'm asking you to please recommit before the year ends, by chipping in to keep defending our communities and our values in 2021.

Please donate to support Muslim-led organizing before 2021 is officially here.

I co-founded MPower Change to be a place where we can unite in solidarity, root ourselves in the belief that justice belongs to us, and take the actions necessary to win our best possible futures.

But who built and continues to build MPower Change?

That's you, the person reading this, who does what they can, whether they're a Muslim, an ally, or simply a person of conscience.

Will you chip in to continue building our movement for a world free from Islamophobia and white supremacy?

Our members—you—are the lifeblood of MPower Change. So here's a reminder of what we all accomplished together this year:

This year, you helped stopped a U.S. war with Iran in its tracks.

You helped defeat ICE and end the detention of Ousman Darboe, a young Black Muslim father from the Bronx. He's now home with his wife and baby daughter, in the community that loves him.

You made this our biggest #MyMuslimVote year by far, from contacting nearly 200,000 Muslim voters from across the country to holding the largest National Muslim Voter Registration Day yet.

You made major political shockwaves in California, winning an end to a proposed surveillance program focused on Muslim communities.

You helped force Microsoft divest $74 million from a militaristic AI firm, AnyVision which uses facial recognition tech to surveil Palestinians living under apartheid in the West Bank.

You helped build #DigitalRamadan, with a series of #InternetIftar live events, allowing us to stay connected without the large gatherings and in-person group prayers to which so many of us are accustomed.

You began hard, compassionate conversations in our communities around policing and abolition with our #UnrelentingJustice project.

You brought a successful #RepealTheBan vote to the US House, with members of Congress for the first time ever voting to pass an encroachment on Trump's Muslim and African Bans.

And you're just getting started.

I don't need to tell you 2021 will be a big opportunity to build a post-Trump politics.

You know that already.

Chipping in means empowering other members like you across the country get the resources they need to lead where they live and connect more easily with more people to build a better world. Let's make that happen.

Let's get through this the only way we know how, as a grassroots movement working together to build social, spiritual, racial, and economic justice for all people:

Together.

Donate to MPower Change before 2020 is over.

Thank you for all you do for justice. Happy New Year!

In solidarity,

Linda, Ishraq, Sijal, and the MPower Change team
