Raimondo released the following statement: "Today the United States Government declares its support for Director Bogdan-Martin's candidacy to be the first woman ever to lead the International Telecommunication Union. Bogdan-Martin brings to her candidacy decades of experience in public service and a proven record of accomplishment leading the ITU's Telecommunication Development Bureau.
