| In this series, we will share population-related information in a simple format in which members and supporters are able to find more detailed information by clicking the links provided. The purpose of this series is to share population-related information, by state, to members, as a way to learn more about population issues in different states, nationwide – while considering the big picture: the U.S. has too many people! In the Articles section, members will find recently selected works discussing population-related issues, such as: natural resources, conservation, water health, climate change, and infrastructure. NPG believes by working to slow, halt, and eventually reverse population growth the U.S. will be able to preserve this country for future generations.
The 2020 census revealed that the state of Florida grew by nearly 3 million people between 2010 and 2020. With a larger population and the challenges that come with that, Florida will face many obstacles in the coming years with rising sea levels, overcrowded schools, and worsening traffic congestion. Concerns about healthcare coverage and state funding have already surfaced in the news. |
