What's on your mind?

We're so glad you've made the decision to join thousands of others in signing up for this newsletter and being an informed, active resident.

Yesterday, our editor Doyle told you about our mission to report news that serves our communities. In the hospitality space, that may mean putting hard-hitting questions to those in charge, putting a spotlight on the hot new restaurants and bars to patronize or letting you know about important opportunities that arise in which you can make change in your community. We ferret these things out every day because we want to make it easier for you to make St. Louis a better place.

The past year has been a critical one for local businesses — particularly bars, restaurants and other food-focused small biz. We've worked diligently to spotlight those who share their passions with us through inventive food and drink, as well as nuts-and-bolts information such as updates and analysis about goings-on in the St. Louis food and bev industry.

When considering stories to cover, we regularly ask ourselves, "Why do our readers need to know this?" This is how we ensure we're always being useful and relevant to you — and never wasting your time.

But — real talk — this only works if you get involved. Lucky for you, there are plenty of ways to do that: joining the Press Club, filling out a survey or checking out some helpful resources we've put together for you are just a few. Over the next couple of weeks, you'll be getting emails that will help you navigate your newfound relationship with St.Louis' favorite weekly alternative news magazine.

Right now, though? Our request is simple: just hit that reply button and tell me what's on your mind. Seriously, that's all I want. Take a minute to think about your experiences out and about in this amazing city. Tell us what excites — or worries — you about living here, or something you deal with in navigating life here in St. Louis that you wish could be easier. Or, you know, you could just say hi!

We look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers!
