Transit Security Technician Now Accepting Applications     The U.S. Department of State is currently accepting applications for a GS-11, Transit Security Technician. This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Services Contract position. You do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. This position is located in the Transit Security Program, Physical Security Division, Office of Physical Security Programs, under the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Countermeasures, Bureau of Diplomatic Security.  The Transit security program is responsible for providing transit security operational support for all U.S. diplomatic facilities abroad. The incumbent is responsible for providing specialized technical and operational support for the secure shipment of cargo to U.S. diplomatic facilities overseas.
