Because of you, I can help them.
Every day, I see the impact of your support.
Hi Friend of Trevor,
I'm Logan, a Crisis Services Supervisor here at The Trevor Project. My team and I are available 24/7 for LGBTQ young people.
Today marks the last day of LGBTQ History Month. It's also the month when the world celebrates National Coming Out Day. And just like any month, this October has been filled with messages from LGBTQ young people who don't have safe, affirming spaces or supportive adults in their lives.
I recently communicated with someone right after they came out to their family and got kicked out of their house. They felt safe enough to tell me where they live, and, fortunately, their state had a website with resources for people experiencing homelessness, including an organization that welcomes queer young people.
Because of caring and generous people like you who support Trevor, I was available to help that young person find a safe place to sleep that night and take that first step toward stability. Thank you so much!
Just like the young people Trevor helps, I struggled in my youth. I lived in a rural area where it wasn't acceptable to be gay. Trevor was available to me then. It was a rare guiding light in moments of darkness.
So, I have a deeply personal understanding of the significance of our conversations with young people. It's life-changing — and often life-saving.
Thank you again for making these conversations possible! Together, we are creating the world we all want — a place in which every LGBTQ young person knows they are loved, valued, and never alone.
Take care,
