Hi Fellow Trevor Supporter,
It's an honor to be able to help The Trevor Project achieve its mission — both professionally and personally. It's estimated that more than 1.8 million LGBTQ young people in the U.S. seriously consider suicide each year. The Trevor Project's goal is to be there for every single one with free, confidential, 24/7 suicide prevention and crisis intervention services.
At YouTube, we are proud to offer a platform where LGBTQ voices can come together and find belonging. Today, The Trevor Project's YouTube Channel helps the organization reach a global audience of LGBTQ young people in need.
Trevor's trained counselors listen with compassion and empathy. And their kind words can be life-changing. Acceptance from at least one adult can decrease the risk of LGBTQ young people attempting suicide by 40%.
These services, along with Trevor's public education, peer support, research, and advocacy work, create a better and more welcoming world — one where LGBTQ young people can envision bright futures for themselves.
The Trevor Project is the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people.
