View online March 03, 2022   1 / One million Ukrainian refugees flee as Kherson falls to Russian troops Russia's troops have taken "complete control" of Ukraine's port city of Kherson, a spokesperson for Moscow's defence ministry has claimed. Kherson is the first major city to be taken by Russia since the beginning of the invasion.    Its mayor, Igor Kolykhaev, said that Russian troops had forced their way into the city council building and imposed a curfew on residents.    As a result of the fighting, one million people have fled Ukraine so far, the UN refugee agency said. The Big Question     Why is Nato reluctant to enforce a no-fly zone over Ukraine?  Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly called on the West to declare and enforce a "no-fly zone" over its airspace to block the Russian Air Force from attacking its cities during the present invasion.   Such a measure would effectively render Russia's huge military superiority in the air null and void but would require extensive policing, presumably by planes belonging to the Western allies representing Nato.   The military alliance is refusing to countenance the idea.
