PROSECUTORS LAY OUT MAR-A-LAGO CASE IN 36 PAGES Former President Donald Trump and his team repeatedly failed to hand over classified documents, and their efforts to keep the papers at his Mar-a-Lago home constituted obstruction of a criminal investigation, prosecutors told a federal judge late Tuesday. BIDEN CALLS OUT GOP 'BLOOD IN THE STREET' WARNING IF TRUMP IS PROSECUTED President Joe Biden hammered Republican officials who have been attacking the FBI for its search on Trump's home, and specifically called out Sen. CAPITAL OF MISSISSIPPI LACKS DRINKING WATER Jackson, Mississippi, doesn't have reliable drinking water for the indefinite future after pumps at the water treatment facility failed. The National Guard will be called in to help distribute bottled water "for up to 180,000 people for an unknown period of time." The city's mayor attributed the problem to recent flooding. TEXAS REPORTS NATION'S FIRST POSSIBLE DEATH FROM MONKEYPOX A severely immunocompromised man in the Houston area has died after being diagnosed with monkeypox, state and local health officials said. He "faced various severe illnesses" and his official cause of death remains pending autopsy results. The virus, which spreads through close contact with an infected person, can be painful, causing a rash and flu-like symptoms, but it is generally not life-threatening. [HuffPost]

MIKHAIL GORBACHEV, LAST LEADER OF THE USSR, DIES AT 91 Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev died following "a severe and prolonged illness," Moscow's Central Clinical Hospital told state-owned Russian news agencies. Celebrated in the West for dismantling the Iron Curtain, Gorbachev was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1990 for brokering international peace and helping to end the Cold War. In his native Russia, however, Gorbachev was reviled by many for presiding over the collapse of the Soviet Union. [HuffPost]

POLICE ARREST BLACK PASTOR FOR WATERING NEIGHBORS' FLOWERS Michael Jennings was dutifully watering his out-of-town neighbors' flowers — upon their request — when he was approached by police. Bodycam footage shows that within minutes, he was arrested, handcuffed and placed in the back of a cruiser.
