Lewis – Republican-controlled state legislatures are a threat to democracy. That's why I was excited to see this from Axios: "No more than five seats separate the majority and minority parties in three statehouses hosting elections in November – Arizona, Minnesota and Michigan." Actually, it gets even more interesting: Republicans only control the statehouse majority by three seats in Michigan and by ONE seat in Arizona.
