Over the past few weeks, I have been sharing details of the House Republicans’ Commitment to America -- our plan to set our nation back on the right track after 2 years of out-of-control inflation, supply chain issues, and border security crises under total Democrat control in Washington, D.C.

An Economy That's Strong

Southern Illinois families are hurting. They’re struggling to pay their bills, fill their gas tanks, and put food on the table. Businesses can’t get the products they need to stock their shelves. Our plan will cut wasteful government spending that is fueling inflation, support pro-growth policies that help our small businesses, encourage American energy production to lower prices, and empower manufacturing here at home.

A Nation That's Safe

Since Biden took office, there have been 900,000 known "got-aways" who have crossed our southern border into the United States. And fentanyl, which is pouring over the border, has become the leading cause of death for adults 18-45 years old. We MUST get this crisis under control as soon as possible. Our plan will fully fund border enforcement strategies and technology and end catch-and-release loopholes to prevent illegal crossings and stop traffickers in their tracks. We will also criminalize all forms of illicit fentanyl and work to support and grow our police force in communities across the country to keep our streets safe.

A Future That's Built on Freedom

Our nation was founded upon the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Yet over the past two years, liberals in Washington have targeted concerned parents, left folks with fewer choices in healthcare, and trampled on free speech. Our Commitment to America will once again give parents a voice in their child’s education. It will improve care by investing in lifesaving cures. And it will increase transparency and data security in order to hold Big Tech accountable.

A Government That's Accountable

Whether it’s hiring 87,000 IRS agents to audit hardworking Americans or their attacks on the unborn, the Biden Administration and D.C. Democrats have shown just how out-of-touch they are with the American people and our shared values. We will preserve our constitutional freedoms, uphold free speech protect the lives of unborn children and their mothers, guarantee religious freedoms, and safeguard the Second Amendment.
