| 🚔 A 19-year-old suspect was arrested for allegedly attacking three police officers with a machete on New Year's Eve near Times Square. He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder of a police officer and two counts of attempted assault. According to law enforcement, the suspect has made statements to investigators that strengthened the belief the attack was motivated by Islamic extremism. 🚨 Buffalo Bills' safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed Monday night after making a tackle during the first quarter against the Bengals in Cincinnati, and the game has been postponed, team officials said. Hamlin, 24, is currently hospitalized in critical condition, Buffalo Bills officials said in a statement posted on Twitter. 🏛️ The 118th Congress is set to begin Tuesday and House Republican leaders are out with their proposed rules for the new legislative session. They are expected to pass new rules that would be able to create select committees to investigate everything from the origins of COVID-19 to, what the GOP claims as, "the weaponization of the federal government." ❄️ Actor Jeremy Renner, known for his starring role as Hawkeye in Marvel's "The Avengers" movies, is in "critical but stable condition" after he suffered an injury while plowing snow on Sunday. Renner, who owns a home in the Lake Tahoe area where the incident occurred, was airlifted to a local hospital from the site of the incident in Reno, Nevada. 🎾 Legendary tennis star Martina Navratilova announced Monday that she is suffering from throat cancer, as well as a recurrence of breast cancer, which she was first diagnosed with in 2010. Navratilova, 66, is one of the winningest tennis players of all time and was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2000. 🏋️ If a grandmother can do it, so can you.
