Hello there, I'm Adam Forrest and welcome to The Independent's Inside Politics newsletter.
So did Brexit finally get "done"? Not quite. Rishi Sunak has managed to strike a far-reaching deal with EU Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen to end the protocol row.
Steve Baker – the staunch Brexiteer who is now a Northern Ireland minister – declared the Windsor Framework a "triumph". Theresa May and top Tories praised the PM for removing the Irish Sea trade barrier and winning a "Stormont brake" on new EU goods rules in the province.
But Mr Sunak has not yet persuaded the DUP. The unionists and their hardline Tory allies will take their time to consider "key issues of concern". The DUP's Ian Paisley Jr said "gut instinct" tells him the deal "won't cut the mustard".
Inside the bubble
Our political commentator Andrew Grice on what to look out for today:
Foreign secretary James Cleverly is doing the morning media round to sell the Windsor Framework. Rishi Sunak is heading to Belfast this morning for a Q&A session with workers (and journos) on the practical realities on his deal. The PM has a showdown session with the 1922 Committee of Tory backbenchers at 5pm, before the hardcore Brexiteers in the ERG shuffle off to discuss the details at 6pm.
Speaker Lindsay Hoyle led tributes to one of his most renowned predecessors, who died at the age of 93, saying she was "one of kind".
