A St. Louis native, Jacob has worked in globally esteemed restaurants. He worked in the kitchen at the venerated Olmsted (Brooklyn) before moving to Italy to work at Santo Palato (Rome) and training at La Vecchia Scuola (Bologna) in fully hand-made pasta. Jacob returned from Italy and opened Forsythia in October 2020. A refined trattoria, Forsythia earned a Bib Gourmand award from the Michelin Guide after just a few months of being open, and has maintained that award since. This will be the first time Jacob has cooked in a St. Louis restaurant and we are so excited to host him! | |
