A surefire way to make walking a daily habit |
Ever tried a walking streak? Last summer, Al Roker walked more than 10,000 steps every day for 219 days straight. The beauty of a walking streak is that the momentum can keep you moving, even on days you may not feel like exercising. Before you know it, all that daily walking eventually becomes a habit.
This month, everyone's journey is different. If you're currently sedentary, walking 2,000 steps a day may be challenge enough for you, whereas someone who is already committed to a walking routine may be looking at 15,000 steps a day as a goal.
Remember: The point is to make walking a consistent habit. So we're less concerned about the distance you walk and more focused on the fact that you did it! Ready to jump in? Download your "streak sheet" and get walking!
