 August 31, 2023 | Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) Extension LIHWAP is federally funded and the State of Missouri has opted to extend the program to March 31st, 2024.  Why is LIHWAP being extended? The extension will allow for additional eligible households to receive payments towards their water and/or sewer costs. How long can I apply? • Mailed applications: Must be postmarked on or before December 31st, 2023 to be eligible for processing.
• Online applications: Must be entered in the system no later than 11:59 pm on December 31st, 2023. What if an application is postmarked after December 31st? You will receive a notice stating you are not eligible for the program. What if I receive a letter asking for additional information?
