As you probably know, the blues is a pretty important style of music. There's old school blues, country blues, rock blues, and everything in between. 

But jazz musicians have their own unique way of playing the blues which of course sounds amazing. Take a look:

The way jazz musicians think about improvisation is what informs the musical decisions they make when approaching the same chords everyone else is playing.
