URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Tell the EPA to oppose using ANIMAL WASTE for energy! >> Take action now! Factory farms are a stain on our planet, Friend. They cram thousands of animals together in filthy conditions, enduring unimaginable cruelty. The animal waste and pollution produced to run these industrial operations harm local communities -- often low-income and communities of color. The EPA has failed to protect communities from toxic factory farm pollution -- and now it supports investing public dollars in factory farm gas production under the guise of "clean energy." But factory farm gas will only further entrench the factory farms that are destroying our planet and hurting our communities! Friend, will you tell the EPA to end support for factory farm gas? Factory farms are disproportionately located in already overburdened communities. Producing gas from animal waste adds to health and environmental harms that factory farms create in the first place, including toxic air emissions and water pollution. Gas created from animal waste is not a form of clean energy -- burning it pollutes just like fossil gas. And factory farm gas relies on large amounts of waste -- maintained in enormous, TOXIC CESSPOOLS -- in order to be created, so it continues to endanger rural communities and the environment! Please, Friend, tell the EPA to protect people and the planet from factory farms, not support them with programs to produce factory farm gas! Standing with you,
