🌍 A video purporting to show American Keith Siegel and an Israeli citizen being held hostage by Hamas terrorists is being examined by the FBI and the Hostage Recovery Fusion Cell, the White House said Sunday. Over the weekend, ABC News has confirmed Hamas will send a delegation to Cairo, Egypt, on Monday to participate in hostage and cease-fire deal negotiations.
🏫 As protests continue to break out at colleges and universities across the country in connection with the war in Gaza, Arizona State University announced that campus police have arrested 69 people for trespassing after protesters refused to leave a pro-Palestinian encampment that the university says was "unauthorized." On Saturday evening, the University of Southern California closed its main campus "due to a disturbance," the university said on X (formerly Twitter). Meanwhile, Northeastern University has removed an encampment of pro-Palestinian protesters, with police detaining about 100 people.
⚖️ Former paramedic Jeremy Cooper was sentenced to a four-year probationary sentence Friday after being found guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the final case connected to Elijah McClain's 2019 death.
