Morning Rundown 🌍 White House National Security spokesman John Kirby said on ABC News' "This Week" that Hezbollah's command structure has been "nearly decimated," and that thousands of the terrorist group's drones and missiles have been destroyed. Kirby's remarks come after Hezbollah confirmed Sunday on the death of security commander Nabil Qaouk in Beirut, Lebanon. Meanwhile, Israel Defense Forces confirmed on Saturday that Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah was killed in a strike on Beirut on Friday. 🌀 The death toll rose to 84 across Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Georgia, according to the Associated Press, since Helene Hurricane made landfall in Florida's Big Bend region Thursday night as a massive Category 4 hurricane. The White House said President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris intend to travel to impacted areas this week. 🏥 Mark Robinson, North Carolina's Republican candidate for governor, was treated at a hospital after suffering burns at a campaign event Friday evening in Mount Airy, his campaign said. 🎤 Grammy-winning country music artist and actor Kris Kristofferson died on Saturday at 88, according to his family in a statement posted to his official Facebook account, adding that Kristofferson died "peacefully in his home in Maui, Hawaii." ❤️ Daniel Radcliffe and Whoopi Goldberg are among those mourning the death of beloved British actress Maggie Smith after she died on Friday at age 89. 😊 A New Hampshire woman surprised a 91-year-old veteran with an online fundraiser that has gone viral and raised over $446,000 in just three months.
