🌀 The death toll from Hurricane Helene rose to 132, including at least 40 people in Buncombe County, North Carolina, according to the Associated Press. On Monday, President Joe Biden said he had directed his team to "provide every, every available resource as fast as possible" to the affected communities to help them rescue, recover and begin to rebuild. Vice President Kamala Harris said she spoke to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper, and plans to be "on the ground as soon as possible" without disrupting any emergency response operations. Meanwhile, the Trump campaign said it partnered with humanitarian aid nonprofit Samaritan's Purse to bring relief supplies to Georgia. 🏛️ Tens of thousands of U.S. dockworkers are set to walk off the job today, clogging dozens of ports along the East and Gulf coasts and potentially raising consumer prices ahead of the holiday season.

🌍 Israeli forces began a ground incursion into southern Lebanon, a spokesperson for the IDF said in a statement on Monday. The news comes as the death toll in Lebanon from Israeli attacks climbed to 95 on Monday, with 172 people injured, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said in a post on X.
