Hi, Some love him, some hate him, but everyone agrees that President Donald Trump is a man to keep an eye on. You wouldn't want to wake up one morning surprised to find the U.S. has invaded Greenland or Panama or whatever former ally the president is drawing a bead on. That could really throw a wrench into your vacation plans.
Besides potential land grabs, there are other topics that need careful watching during Trump's second term. And with your support, we will stay vigilant on such topics as: |
- Paying for health care remains a heavy burden on many Texans. What might the administration do to lighten that load?
- It looks like it's going to be a grim year for immigrants. DREAMERs, who are undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children up once again face the fear of being sent "home" to countries they never knew.
- While Texas lawmakers already do everything they can to make sure women can't get an abortion, there's fear that the GOP-dominated Congress and the White House may take steps to further a ban.

That's just touching the surface of stories we'll be watching during the bumpy ride ahead. Dallas Observer will always be free, but producing our stories is not. Will you help us continue to produce independent, informative journalism by contributing today? |
