The Bost Bulletin

Dear Friend,

I was honored to spend the early part of the weekend at Mar-a-Lago with President Trump and other Republican House committee chairmen laying the groundwork for the conservative agenda in 2025. We’re using a process called “budget reconciliation,” which helps move key priorities through Congress more quickly without getting bogged down by delays in a closely divided Senate. We’re targeting border security, tax relief, spending cuts and more. It was great to visit again with President Trump; I look forward to doing my part to help advance his agenda!

Certifying President Trump's Historic Win

I was privileged to witness history from my seat on the House floor last week. Congress certified the Electoral College votes for Donald J. Trump, the first president to serve two non-consecutive terms in office in over 130 years. Only 8 more days to go until Inauguration Day!

Passing the First Bill of the 119th Congress

I’m proud to share that I voted for the first bill to pass in the 119th Congress - the Laken Riley Act. This legislation, named after a young woman brutally murdered by an illegal immigrant previously released on theft charges, would require ICE to detain any illegal immigrant who commits theft. Congressional conservatives, in partnership with President Trump, are ready to seal the border and strengthen our immigration laws.

Fighting Foreign Overreach

I presided over the House Floor for the vote on the Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act. At a time when the International Criminal Court is considering targeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with war crime charges, this legislation will impose sanctions on individuals affiliated with the ICC who target the United States or our allies for politically driven prosecutions. As a staunch supporter of Israel, I am proud to help advance a bill that protects both nations’ sovereignty and stands up for our ally’s right to defend itself against terrorist aggression.

Defending Your Right to Concealed Carry

As I do at the beginning of every new congressional term, last week I cosponsored the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. This bill would expand Concealed Carry to millions of Americans and makes sure that your right to carry is not infringed when you cross state lines. As a sportsman and proud gun owner, I am happy to support this bill and will vote for it on the House Floor. We must fight to defend our constitutional rights from government overreach at each and every turn.
