Hi,
My name is Patrick Williams, and I'm the Dallas Observer's editor-in-chief. My colleagues and I are always seeking to improve our journalism and to connect more closely with our readers. We make decisions about what to cover and how based on research, analytics and tracking what other news media do. But none of that can tell us as much as hearing from you. We count on readers to let us know how we're doing, even when we make them angry.
That's why I'm emailing today: Can you take a few minutes to fill out a survey? Don't worry. You won't be bombarded by telemarketers or emails … well, except from me on occasion. But that's because I want to have a conversation and make the Observer better for you. Your answers will help us understand who we're reaching, what your needs are and how we can better serve you and everyone in Dallas. |
Whether you love us or hate us, think we're doing a good job or could improve, your answers will give us a critical insight into what you expect (and want) from the Dallas Observer and how we can continue to offer fresh perspectives on the news while covering stories and people overlooked by other media.
As a token of our appreciation, we're giving you a chance to win a $100 gift card to Terilli's Restaurant. Wow. OK, that sounds a little spammy, but it's for real, not a "free" iPhone or something like that. Also, Terilli's serves up some tasty Italian.
Thank you for your feedback and your time. We are grateful you're here.
Sincerely, |
|
