Good Morning! It feels like it’s been a hot minute since our Blue dollar-volume line touched the top of the chart. Wasn’t it just a few weeks ago that every other day seemed to be a $2.5m-plus sales day? Well, yesterday brought us right back there, led by a pair of tremendous GT2 sales from two different generations. |

The 1973.5 911T marked a transitional moment in Porsche history, as U.S.-market cars switched from mechanical fuel injection to Bosch CIS (Continuous Injection System) midway through the model year. This change improved reliability, drivability, and fuel efficiency, eliminating the mid-range flat spot often associated with earlier MFI cars. The update also brought visual and mechanical differences, including a larger oval airbox, revised fuel system components, and the addition of rubber bumperettes to meet new regulations. While not as raw as the earlier MFI cars, the 1973.5 911T offers a more usable and refined driving experience, bridging the gap between early long-hood cars and the impact-bumper era that followed. |
This 1973.5 911T Targa 5-Speed came finished in Blue over a Black vinyl interior with corduroy inserts and showed 46,000 miles on the odometer. It presented as a beautiful example throughout, with hundreds of detailed photos in the gallery. While the listing was light on service history and other details, the comments section filled in much of the story, as friends of the previous owner, who had cared for the car for more than 35 years before his passing, shared additional history and spoke highly of how well it had been maintained. |
Over the past twelve months, 1973.5 911T values have averaged $61,900, with a low of $32,750 and a high of $80,500 for a Silver Metallic example sold in October of last year. As I mentioned above, our Spotlight Car was represented about as well as it could have been by the seller with the info they had, and I think the stories shared in the comments by friends of the previous owner helped push bidding along. It ultimately set a new twelve-month high, selling at a final bid of $83,000. |

996 GT2s continue their run with this 2002 911 GT2 setting a new twelve-month high. Finished in Guards Red over a Black interior, this example showed 43,848 miles and featured Fabspeed mufflers as well as full body PPF and came with a clean and clear CarFax with plenty of service history. It sold at a final bid of $285,000, $299,250 with fee’s, topping the previous high set by an 18,000-mile example at $281,000 back in April of this year.
Keeping with the GT2 theme, this Black on Black 2018 911 GT2 RS showed 3,800 miles on the clock and came optioned from the factory with the Weissach Package, Magnesium wheels, Front Axle Lift, and more for an original MSRP of $341,420. High estimates sat at $706,100, but it topped those, hammering at a final bid of $707,500.
While yesterday’s X50-equipped 996 Turbo may not have been the high 996 Turbo of the day, this 2002 911 Turbo Coupe 6-Speed certainly was. Finished in Guards Red over a Black interior, this Turbo showed just 20,700 miles and came equipped with the X50 package along with Red stitching and Yellow seat belts. It looked to be in excellent condition inside and out with hundreds of detailed photos in the gallery including paint meter readings and plenty of service records. It sold at a final bid of $155,666 against a high estimate of $111,900.

This 1974 911 Coupe 5-Speed may have been owned by Magnus Walker, but it looks like the only “Magnus” modifications were a set of wheels, lowered suspension, and some stickers, at least according to the comments section where the original builder chimed it. He also stated that the car started life as a Bronze Sportomatic, but as you can see, it’s a long way from that. We’ve seen previous Magnus Walker cars do well, including his own recent sale with RM Sotheby’s. We’ll see how the “Rotterdam Outlaw” does here next week.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a 981 Boxster Black Edition. In fact, the last one to sell was all the way back in March of 2025 when a 9,000-mile example brought $43,000. This 2016 Boxster Black Edition shows 11,000 miles and looks to be in nice condition per the handful of photos in the gallery although the only service info comes from the CarFax. Has the market moved for Black Edition Boxsters? Another one to add to the watch list.
I’m definitely loving the Python Green on this 2022 718 Cayman GT4 6-Speed. It looks especially good with Yellow PCCB brake calipers peeking through the wheels. Showing 9,000 miles on the clock, it looks to be an excellent, well-optioned example with plenty of recent service and great presentation. Estimates put it in the $111,300 to $141,400 range. I’d expect bids to be near the top here.
