from Jen Hubley I love the idea of "cash for X" programs, especially when they encourage people to buy more energy efficient goods. When I think back to the cars and appliances of my youth, I'm amazed that we have any energy left to save. I'm pretty sure our old blender used more electricity than both my air conditioners and every toaster/chopper/bread encourager in my current kitchen.
What Can You Expect From Cash for Appliances? Next up in "cash for energy-sucking items": Cash for Appliances. Now, for the first time, I wish I'd kept some of my old kitchen stuff.
Did Cash for Clunkers Stimulate the Economy? Of course, one of the primary goals of Cash for Clunkers was economic stimulus - and as far as Q3 economic growth is concerned, it probably worked. But what does that mean for the end of the year and beyond?
